Smart Office TOOLS

WORKWISE MOBILE APP

A smart office assistant designed to simplify your daily work life.

Overview

The Workwise Smart Office Assistant is a mobile app companion to the Workwise Smartband. The Workwise App was designed to provide employees with an extended set of features, including in-door GPS, a Conference Room Locator, Meeting Management, Temperature Control, a Wellness Program, and more…

CONTRIBUTION

My contribution to this project was in the areas of Product Management, UX Design, and Prototyping. I helped define Product Requirements and created User Journeys and User Flow Diagrams based on the concepts explored during our brainstorming sessions. I then put together the Wireframes and produced a Click-Through Prototype to help define the user interactions. Once we got buy-in on the directions, I finalized the Visual Design and prepared specs for the developers.

Role

Sr. UI/UX Architect & Product Manager

Responsibilities

Product Requirements, User Journeys, User Flow Diagrams, Wireframes, Visual Design & a Click-Through Prototype.

Design Think

Before starting the design and development phase, we needed to validate whether our potential users were interested in our idea. We conducted user research to validate our concept and better understand what features appealed to them the most.

When our research was complete, we conducted a workshop with the team to codify the work through the most compelling and reasonable features for the initial release.

User Flow Analysis

From our brainstorming session, I produced a myriad of diagrams outlining the various user flows and requirements needed to make a minimum viable set of features to cover our product objective.

Wireframes

Producing the wireframes helped us visualize our ideas and weed out some edge cases even further. The wires also served as a point of discussion and refinement with the executive leadership sponsoring the project. Below is a bird's-eye view of the initial set of wireframes I created. This set of screens included high-level workflows of each case/feature as well as mapping out the navigation model for the mobile form factor.

Prototype

Once I completed the main user flows and wireframes, I worked with one of our iOS engineers to quickly mock up a click-through prototype to give us a better feel for the app. Going through this process helped pin down the navigation behavior and structure with the developers. It also was a great way to share tangible progress with our team and get buy-in from our stakeholders.

Visual Design

After iterating and refining the user experience, we were ready to give the app some life. I pulled some of the latest Visual Identity from the Brand Department - including our new sleek logo, and wrapped the entire app with the new aesthetics. Below is a brief bird's-eye view of the MVP concept with the visual identity applied.

PROMO VIDEO

Here is a promo video I produced, filmed, animated, and scored with the help of some friends/colleagues. The purpose of this video was to be used a promo, to showcase the concept, its capabilities, and benefits of the product.
