The Sprout computer is a unique device with two large touchscreens surfaces and 3D analysis capabilities built into the hardware. These capabilities enabled a new style of interaction with a computer and 3D interfaces, which was unlike anything in the market at the time.
The Sprout Marketplace was designed to give developers a unique medium to develop on and consumers the ability to download apps that were designed to leverage the unique capabilities of this device.
My contribution to the project was managing the design efforts for both the Sprout Marketplace and Developer Portal. I led a small team of designers to build the Developer Portal while I worked on the Marketplace. I worked with the Product Management team to define features of the Marketplace, and then I produced wireframes and visual designs as a result.

The Sprout device operates like a traditional desktop with a mouse and keyboard but has two touchscreen surfaces for 3D and educational applications. With that in mind, I had to make sure the app was both touch and mouse friendly, and could display on two surfaces. Since Sprout was a net new product, I decided to start with low-fidelity wireframes to focus our efforts on the structural and behavioral aspects of the application before diving into the feel of the product. Below are a few examples of some of the primary use cases.
To help make the development process more streamlined for the developers and the project, I put together a set of specs and guidelines on each page or components where more context was useful. I also included refined background, icons, and button states.
