HP Secure Pay is a unified payment system designed to centralize all of your HP payment accounts into one simple account, which can be utilized on any HP system.
The objective of HP Secure Pay was to create a centralized and secure payment gateway that could be leveraged by all of HP's various business units to be used as a centralized payment system for HP customers.
My contribution to the project was in managing all of the design efforts of HP Pay, HP Marketplace, and the Sprout Developer Portal. I lead a small team of designers to build the Developer Portal while I worked on the HP Secure Pay and the marketplace. I worked with the Product Management team to define features of Secure Pay and then I produced wireframes and visual designs as a result.

One of the harder parts of this build was the information architecture. We needed to technically solve how to have one central management system while having many individual apps which have their own products and payment methods. We needed to educate users that there was this one central system, but want them to manage all of their payment and product related items in the actual app and not the central system.
While this may seem confusing at first, the benefit of adding your credit card to your central account will automatically make that payment method available in any HP app or website you log into. You no longer need to enter your credit card again but rather, use the one already on file, even if it’s your first time at the website or app.
